Ski touring in Shorts on Mt. Seymour
It got warm. 30 Degrees in town so we thought we go up high to stay cool. Well, didn't work to well since I got a sunburn. I think that is the latest I have skied, mid of may. I didn't even hit a rock.
Since no lifts were running anymore on the local hills we had to ski tour up the hill. Looks quite funny to ski with shorts and t-shirt. It doesn't only look funny it also feels strange.
The new backcountry set up: Hiking boots and the borrowed board of your buddy. Clad you came along Paul.
.
We found a nice spot to take a couple of pictures. Paul hiking up the ridge.
After reaching the summit Paul had to do a heel clip. I tried my best to capture this on a picture.
Paul rippin it.
Later on we found a nice cornice. Seppel preparing for the jump.
Seppel
Here is a movie of the approach. Seppel is fast if he wants to :-).
And the jump.
Paul hiking up to the hike.
Paul in the air.
From our photo shooting we continued to the 1st Pump (that's the name of this small peak).
.
Paul and Seppel on the Peak on about 1500m.
I don't know what I tried to do here but it looks a bit strange.
This turn looks a bit better.
It is a strange feeling to ski in shorts.
Thanks Paul for coming along.
